That looks a major tour de force. It's directed at a very high level of
both Latin and literary appreciation.

It would have a very limited readership here in the UK. How will it fare
in the US?

BTW, why "Capti" as title?

Latin? Not according to the Amazon product details, it ain't. Ha ha!

I've seen it rumoured that the good professor's "Vita Nostra: Subsidia ad
Colloquia Latina" is available for purchase as PDF(s) via email.

His "De philosophia quantali deque institutione publica" is detailed on
this page:
http://web.me.com/fundatiomelissa/Site/Libri_editi.html

And I seem to recall having seen some of his Latin poetry online somewhere.

I don't know. The coinage's are a little too audacious for my taste but
I will probably buy it sooner or later. Per page it's only about a third
as costly as Nicholaus Gross' _Fragrantia_. (Suesskind's _Parfum_)

Maybe it's _The Seduced_. Pretty close to Plautus' _Captivi_.

Yes, Stephanus is aware of that oversight.

I don't know anything about these. I hinted to him that it should have
been De philosophia quantica... but he brushed that off even though I
pointed out that Philippus Soccorsi S. J. used that word when we were
all still in short pants.

This guy, who seems to know a lot about physics and computer science,
uses "quantica" too:

http://www.professeurs.polymtl.ca/jose.fernandez/ThesisJMF.pdf

His bibliography includes:

[Soc57] Philippus Soccorsi. De Physica Quantica. Pontificia Universitas
Gregoriana,
Vatican, 1957.

and

[Bac60] Antonius Bacci. Lexicon. Eorum uocabulorum quae difficilis
latine redduntur.
Societas Libraria ((Studium)), Rome, Italy, third edition, 1960.

I haven't seen any of that (other than what is in the first chapters of
_Capti_).

I cannot find the poetry I thought I had seen, but in looking around I
came across this page* pertaining to "Capti":
http://commons.wvc.edu/sberard/boreoccidentales/english/05/Home.aspx
and also to an anonymous assemblage of animal vocabulary elswhere
attributed to the same Dr Berard:

* - The links on this page to three sample chapters didn't work at the
time I tried them, though I got to see Chapter 3 via Google "Quick View".

Try getting the pdf's via the above-referenced Latin home page.
