Welcome,
I want to change a little an old latin proverb "Dura lex, sed lex"
into something like "Lex, sed <stupid> lex" (meaning "this is the Law,
bu it is a stupid Law"). What would be the best word to replace with
"stupid" in this context?

I don't know about best, but the most general term would be "stulta".

Stultus is related to stolidus which means immovable, (underhanded praise
for a law it seems) so maybe:

Lex, sed lex inepta...
